Atlanta Georgia Temple

Tomorrow the Atlanta Temple is scheduled to be rededicated. This post does not have much to do with Jake other than in 1994 we were living in McDonough, Georgia. Grandma Olsen came for a visit in July and we visited the Atlanta Temple with her. Lyle (5) and Jake (2 1/2) had a fun day rolling down the hill and playing on the lawn.

On June 1, 1983, President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Atlanta Georgia Temple in Sandy Springs. It was the first temple in the Southeastern United States, and the first of 97 temples dedicated by President Hinckley.

Tomorrow it will be rededicated by President Thomas S. Monson. We had a chance to tour the open house with Kayla and Kristi last week, it is beautiful and they loved the visit.

The Day it All Began

You have come a long way. From that very first day December 8th 1991, you have been a special boy. Your mom and dad could not be happier. You always thought it was cool that you were the only one in the family not born in Utah. You were born in Southhaven, Mississippi. It was a special day.
Now in Buenos Aires, Argentina, preparing to serve your mission in Montevideo, Uruguay. We hear of all the positive things going on as you learn Spanish and learn to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jake is doing great in the CCM (Aregentina MTC) Check it out from this link.
