Atlanta Georgia Temple
On June 1, 1983, President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Atlanta Georgia Temple in Sandy Springs. It was the first temple in the Southeastern United States, and the first of 97 temples dedicated by President Hinckley.
Tomorrow it will be rededicated by President Thomas S. Monson. We had a chance to tour the open house with Kayla and Kristi last week, it is beautiful and they loved the visit.

The Day it All Began
You have come a long way. From that very first day December 8th 1991, you have been a special boy. Your mom and dad could not be happier. You always thought it was cool that you were the only one in the family not born in Utah. You were born in Southhaven, Mississippi. It was a special day.
Now in Buenos Aires, Argentina, preparing to serve your mission in Montevideo, Uruguay. We hear of all the positive things going on as you learn Spanish and learn to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jake is doing great in the CCM (Aregentina MTC) Check it out from this link.

In the Paper,
Sister Kadis in the ward was able to get Jake’s missionary announcement published in the local paper. We’re very thankful for her and all the effort she went through to get this published.
She also said how cool it is “that this area has been willing to publish articles and events about the church, especially about your mission call which I believe is the first time to print such an announcement.”
